Fitch Ratings adjusted its outlook for ANZ New Zealand to a positive stance. The bank's long-term issuer rating stays at A+. The agency said the move comes from possible new debt instruments for senior creditors. These instruments could help cover losses.
This revision comes before new regulatory capital rules in New Zealand taking effect in 2028. Fitch also gave the same positive outlook to Westpac New Zealand.
